Privacy Policy

Snagpad · last updated 4 August 2026

Snagpad has no servers, no accounts and no analytics. Your reports stay on your device and, if you choose, in your own iCloud account. We never see them.

What we collect

Nothing. Snagpad does not transmit your projects, photographs, notes or usage data to us or to anyone else. There is no sign-up, no login, and no account.

Where your data lives

Everything you record — projects, locations, defects, photographs, annotations and reports — is stored locally on your device.

If you are signed in to iCloud, Snagpad also syncs that data to your private iCloud database so it appears on your other devices. That data is held in your own Apple account, governed by Apple's privacy policy. The developer of Snagpad has no access to it. You can stop this at any time by turning off iCloud for Snagpad in iOS Settings.

Camera and photo library

Snagpad asks for camera access so you can photograph defects, and for photo library access so you can attach pictures you already took. Photographs are used only to build your reports. They are not uploaded anywhere by Snagpad.

Reports you share

When you export a PDF, it is created on your device and handed to the iOS share sheet. What happens next — mail, Messages, Files, a cloud drive — is entirely your choice and is governed by whichever service you pick.

Paying for Snagpad Pro

The purchase is handled entirely by Apple on your Apple Account. Snagpad never sees your name, your payment details or your address — it only asks the device whether this Apple Account has bought the unlock. There is no account to create and nothing to cancel, because nothing renews.

Tracking and advertising

Snagpad contains no advertising, no third-party SDKs, no tracking pixels and no crash-reporting service. Nothing about you is shared with data brokers, because nothing about you leaves the app.

Children

Snagpad is a professional tool and is not directed at children.

Changes

If this policy changes, the revised version will be published at this address with a new date. Material changes will also be noted in the app's release notes.
